We are looking for a key management leader to connect and unite the region’s technology community to encourage growth opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. Our new Executive Director, is expected to ensure strong member and sponsor satisfaction by way of attending necessary events, strengthening connections between local educational institutions and technology industries, contribute to and cultivate efforts to attract and retain talent, membership and sponsorship growth, effective use of staff and volunteer resources and financial stability of the RBTC. The Executive Director will report directly to the Board of Directors and must be experienced with developing and executing fundraising strategies; have an understanding of how to manage programs and corresponding budgets with multiple stakeholders; a solid awareness of issues facing the startup and growth of innovation-based companies; and either have or be willing to grow strong connections within the region. Events Coordinator at Roanoke - Blacksburg Technology Council
A Pulaski County native, Tangie’s background stems largely from the Technology sector. She is a creative thinker and has worked in accounting, project & event management and data analysis. She currently resides in Christiansburg with her sons Trevor and Nate, and her Shih Tzu, Lilly. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting local winery/brewery venues, reading, learning the art of calligraphy and supporting her sons in their extracurricular activities.

Director of Regional Acceleration and Mentoring Program (RAMP)
Prior to becoming Director of RAMP, Dr. Mary Guy Miller was president and founder of Interactive Design and Development, Inc. (IDD), an award-winning IT firm in Blacksburg, Virginia. Under her leadership, IDD served a wide range of organizations, including Fortune 500 companies, for more than 27 years. Additionally, Mary has provided IT solutions for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Smithsonian Institution, and the Library of Congress. Mary was a founding member and former president of the RBTC and has served on many boards and advisory committees, including Virginia Tech’s College of Engineering Committee of 100. Dr. Miller received her master’s of information science (MIS), as well as her doctorate in instructional design from Virginia Tech. When she’s not working, Mary enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her grandchildren.
