President and CEO
McAden is a 20 year resident of Roanoke City who has worked for various technology companies in the Roanoke and New River valleys. His experience includes software development, database architecture, project management, and site leadership. His most recent position was as Director of Blacksburg Site Operations for Rackspace. McAden is also active in the region’s start-up community, having co-chaired Startup Weekend Roanoke, judged numerous startup competitions, and served on the advisory boards for NuSpark and RAMP. He is a graduate of Randolph-Macon College and resides in the Raleigh Court neighborhood with his three daughters.

Director of Events and Member Engagement
Heather brings a varied background to the RBTC. She excels in the arena of management and events planning, customer service, marketing, and management. Heather has a background that includes but is not limited to: Customer Service, Event and Facility Management, and Recruiting. Prior to joining the RBTC team she was a Marketing & Sales consultant for Integrated Technology Group. She also served as the Administrative Coordinator and Event Manager at the Center for Advanced Engineering & Research. Heather earned a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from William Woods University and a Master’s in Higher Education from Capella University. She is excited to combine her skills and talents to facilitate and manage events as well as assist current and prospective RBTC members. In her spare time, Heather enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, baking, watching football (Go Hokies!, Go Giants!) and ice hockey (Rail Yard Dawgs), serving at Journey Church, crafting and traveling.

As a young professional, Chelsey’s background stems largely from non-profit organizations where she has served in varying capacities. Her skills and fresh perspective add a unique quality to the team. As the Administrative Assistant, she is responsible for much of our social media coverage, and enjoys the day-to-day research and collaboration that the RBTC offers.
Chelsey received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University, as well as a Master’s degree in Human Services with a focus in Executive Leadership. She was recently inducted into the International Psi Chi honor society for her graduate accomplishments.
Born and raised in North Carolina, Chelsey is new to the region, and appreciates calling it home. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafting, watching the Grand Tour, and embarking on adventures with her husband and their Australian Shepherd, Bella.

As a practicing CPA, Robert specializes in working with small businesses, start-up ventures and not-for-profit organizations. He has spent the past 14 years developing his practice to serve businesses in the New River Valley.
In his role as controller, Robert works with the RBTC team to process, record, and report financials in a timely and professional manner. Robert has been married to his wife, Kathryn, for 18 years and he enjoys running and biking with his family for recreation.
Serving business owners, entrepreneurs and organizations with a broad offering of web and print marketing communications, Jason combines technical know-how with a creative edge.
As marketing technologist, Jason works with the RBTC to keep communications professional and appealing. He handles everything from web development to graphic design – and everything in between. Jason lives with his wife and seven kids on a historic farm near the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
