Whether you are a BizDev veteran or a newcomer, you’ll be sure to learn much from our upcoming forum, Creating a High Performance Sales Team, on Thursday, March 7th with guest presenter Dr. James Lollar.
The objective seems simple enough when leading salespeople—executives and managers want to motivate and empower individuals to produce superior results consistently over time and market conditions. However, many sales executives struggle to find a balance between healthy competition and unhealthy, cutthroat behaviors that influence morale and customer relationships. Companies with high-performance sales teams focus on creating, developing, and evaluating success with informed processes, principles, and practices needed for long term, value-added relationships.
Dr. James G. Lollar is Professor of Marketing and Chair of the Department of Marketing in the Davis College of Business and Economics at Radford University. He has developed and taught courses in Creativity and Innovation, Buyer Behavior, Professional Selling, Sales Management, Marketing Research, and International Business. Dr. Lollar is a graduate (BS, MA, and Ph.D.) of the University of Alabama. Previous to entering academe, he worked for Exxon Corporation in several sales and marketing positions, and has consulted in the area of sales and marketing with numerous regional, national, and global organizations such as Merck, Marion-Merrill Dow Pharmaceuticals, Black & Decker/DeWalt, Allstate, NCR, Noxell, National Association of Realtors, Marine Science Institute of Ireland, and Carillion Health Systems.
