A Tax Partner with more than 27 years of experience in the area of taxation, Ron serves a diverse client base including multi-national, public, and closely held companies. Clients who depend on Ron’s guidance inhabit a number of industries including manufacturing, distribution, technology and life sciences, real estate and construction, and private equity. Based in the Firm’s Raleigh office, Ron guides clients through a number of taxation matters including international and domestic tax, provisions, FIN 48, tax controversy and complex transactional matters. A leader of Cherry Bekaert’s Federal Credits & Incentives practice, Ron has extensive practical experience bringing value to clients.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Ron was a Tax Partner with an international firm for ten years, followed by several years with a regional firm. During his career, Ron spent seven years in a national tax role in Washington, D.C., focusing on domestic and international tax issues, mergers and acquisitions, and IRS tax controversy matters.

Anne is a Director for Cherry Bekaert’s State & Local Tax practice for which she leads the Firm’s National State Credits & Incentives and Employment Tax practices. She specializes in assisting international and domestic companies with site selection, tax and financial location analysis, negotiating relocation and expansion incentive packages, and federal and state tax credits. Anne has extensive experience working nationally with large global and midsized companies in discretionary incentives such as property tax abatements (PILOTs), grants, and rebates at both the state and local level.
As a CPA and Certified Credits & Incentives Professional, Anne has more than 20 years of experience in federal and state tax compliance and consulting. She advises clients in all industry sectors on tax issues such as credits and incentives, state and local tax (SALT), tax controversy, and employment taxes.
Prior to joining Cherry Bekaert, Anne spent her entire career in Big Four public accounting. She began her career in Charlotte, N.C., providing corporation and partnership tax compliance services. Anne later moved to Atlanta and led various large-scale federal income tax consulting projects.
As a manager, Anne began focusing on state and local tax matters, helping clients in a variety of industries navigate SALT issues and secure tax benefits in business incentives, tax credits, income/franchise, sales, property, withholding, and unemployment taxes.
